Marc Eisenberg

Marc Eisenberg,

Founding Director

Born on 9 April 1955
Married, 2 children

Masters degree in economics
Postgraduate degree in Insurance Law

Marc Eisenberg started his career as a consultant in management for SMEs. That's when he realised how isolated managers were regarding taxation and law.

In 1986, in order to help these companies, Marc Eisenberg founded Alma Consulting Group, introducing the concept of Cost Reduction Operational Consultancy in France.

It was a risky bet as he established the success and credibility of his company on its capacity to get paid according to the results obtained for clients.
But the bet was worth it: Alma Consulting Group is now the European leader in cost optimisation and offers to more than 10,000 clients (small and big companies) the possibility to identify and generate cost reductions.

In 1997, Marc Eisenberg sold his company to an American firm and bought it back in 2001 through an LBO. Since then, he concluded 3 other LBOs.
Along with the investment fund Candover, 400 employees are shareholders of the company. Alma Consulting Group continues to expand, especially thanks to external growth, in several European countries and in Canada.

Since 1993, Alma Consulting Group is regularly ranked among the Top 100 best companies in France: www.lentreprise.com/outils/top-100/. Marc Eisenberg was often awarded for being one of the Best Entrepreneurs of the Year (1996, 2002, 2004, and 2007). Alma Consulting Group was also rewarded as the silver winner by the "Great Place to Work" Institute France, highlighting the efforts made regarding the working conditions within the Group: www.greatplacetowork.fr/best/list-fr-2008.htm .

From 1995 to 1999, Marc Eisenberg was set as a judge at the Employment Tribunal of Nanterre. In 2000-2001 he held the position of judge at the Commercial Court of Bobigny.

Committed to many society issues, Marc Eisenberg has felt particularly concerned with sustainable development for many years. That's a reason why, he decided to move Alma Consulting Group?s headquarters to Gennevilliers in 2008, in the first French sustainable building, meeting the 2006 High Environmental Quality standards.

Fond of athletics, Marc Eisenberg is a board member of the professional League of Athletics. Thus, Alma Consulting Group has become one of the main partners of French Athletics by creating the Alma Athlé Tour in 2009 which consists of a 6 meeting tournament throughout France.

In 1995, Marc Eisenberg was designated by the Mayor of Paris Jean Tibéri to take part in the despoilment and recovery of Jewish heritage Commission, chaired by Chahid Nouraï  (Council of State member): www.civs.gouv.fr/IMG/pdf/Livret_saragoussi_avril_2007_version_finale.pdf  .

Marc Eisenberg is president of Cercle Foch, www.cerclefoch.fr , a club located on the famous Parisian avenue, and which is equipped with a sport complex, a cinema and a restaurant.

Marc Eisenberg is also the AIU (Alliance Israélite Universelle) vice president, one of the oldest international organisations dealing with Jewish culture and education with a wide school network in France and abroad: www.aiu.org. As such, he is in charge of the organisation of the 150th anniversary celebration which will take place in 2010.

Marc Eisenberg is also General Secretary of "Fondation GORDIN", in charge of rehabilitating and building Jewish schools.

Marc Eisenberg is an avid collector of antique posters and vintage cars, and has a passion for Jean de la Fontaine.

His motto, Passion and Perseverance, has been his drive for success both for Alma Consulting Group and for his personal activities.
